CEA Journal is the flagship communication product for Association members, informing them of legislative, legal and professional issues affecting Colorado public education and showing how members across the state are helping every student thrive. Published continuously since 1885, CEA Journal is the oldest education magazine in the state and an historic voice of advocacy for Colorado educators. CEA publishes the Journal four times each school year (August, October, February, May) and all issues are mailed to members' homes. Download the latest Journal online edition in the Member section of this website.
The CEA Today is a continuously updated website full of Association news items, events and multimedia offerings. Members are alerted to new postings via one or two weekly email summaries.
CEA uses Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr and Instagram to keep members and community followers aware of what's happening around the Association on their favorite social media platforms. Of special interest, our Government Relations team tweets from the Capitol on a separate account, and thousands of followers get news and have community discussion on standardized testing issues on our Facebook page Free Our Teachers, Value Our Students.
CEA is the exclusive sponsor of Super School News, the award-winning mini television series written and illustrated by fifth and sixth grade students across Colorado, presented by Rocky Mountain PBS. The program is aligned with Colorado Academic Standards and has been enriching thousands of young lives for decades. Our students are More Than A Score, and our Association is proud to directly invest in a real-world learning opportunity for students at about 70 schools each year that gives them skills far beyond what can ever be measured by a standardized bubble test. Watch the latest episodes on the Rocky Mountain PBS website and see our video following Littleton EA member Carol Macklem and her Highland Elementary students through the Super School News journey.
