National Board Certified Teachers Rural Cohort

In an effort to address teacher shortages in rural Colorado, Senate Bill 19-009: Financial Incentives for Rural Educators was passed this past legislative session. The Colorado Education Association (CEA) National Board Certified Teachers 2-year Rural Cohort is currently seeking applicants. Applicants, who are selected, will receive funding to participate in the CEA Rural Cohort and the expenses for the National Board certification process. Rural Educators in these districts are eligible to apply–we hope you’ll consider joining!

Apply today and join us for the National Board Jump Start on October 4-5, 2019. Applications are due September 15, 2019.

“If you are passionate about becoming a better teacher, the National Board Certification should be part of your professional plan. You take the time to analyze what is happening in YOUR classroom, not just read about other people’s classes. Because of this, becoming board certified was always something that I wanted to do. The support from the facilitators and my fellow teachers in the Rural Cohort are what is going to help make it possible.” – Karl Remsen, High School Math Teacher, Lake County School District
