The Colorado Education Association announced April 12 it will endorse State Rep. Dave Young to become Colorado’s next state treasurer.
“Dave has been a crucial force in bringing forth legislation to help our educators and students, and to increase funding for our state’s schools. With his leadership, we can make sure that every child in Colorado has access to a high-quality public education,” said CEA President Kerrie Dallman.
Young was CEA’s unanimous choice for treasurer in a member-driven, democratic recommendation process that represents more than 35,000 educators across the state. Young was a public school teacher in Greeley for 24 years, a former president of the Greeley Education Association, and is a lifelong CEA member.
