The Colorado Education Association (CEA) is committed to the personal privacy of registrants and has adopted a privacy statement to safeguard information collection and use. CEA is the primary owner of the information collected on our website domain(s).

CEA does not sell or rent information collected from this domain. CEA may share certain information (when deemed necessary) with individuals and/or businesses responsible for handling account information or performing other membership-related services.

CEA collects information for the following general purposes:

  • Contacting registrants
  • Fulfilling requests as specified

  • Monitoring and logging activity
  • Billing, shipping and processing
  • Account administration
  • Improving service delivery


Registration for a CEA event or an event in which CEA may be a sponsor is completely voluntary. If members choose to register, they will be required to provide contact information (such as name, phone number, email address, etc.). The information is to be used for the purpose of providing members with additional information that pertains to the interest(s) specified during registration as well as providing a registrant list to the event planners.

Customer Service

Based upon the personally identifiable information provided, CEA will send members a welcoming email to verify username and password. CEA will also respond to inquiries, to provide the services requested, and to manage member website accounts. CEA will communicate with members according to their wishes.

Agents and Service Providers

CEA uses an outside credit card processing company. This company does not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes. These third parties are prohibited from using personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

CEA reserves the right to disclose member’s personally identifiable information as required by law, board policy, and when disclosure may be necessary to protect CEA’s rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on the CEA website. The security of member personal information is important to CEA. When members enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on CEA registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). When registration forms require a user to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), the information is encrypted and protected with the best encryption standard in the industry—SSL. The information collected is to be used for billing purposes and to fulfill the customer’s orders. While on a secure page, such as an ecommerce website, a lock icon is present at the bottom of the Web browser (for Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer) indicating the information transmitted will be encrypted.
