Member Michelle Pearson featured in technology TV ad

CEA’s new 30-second TV spot made its initial run on statewide television during February. It featured Michelle Pearson, a District Twelve EA member who teaches at Hulstrom Options School in Adams Five Star District. Some of the students featured in the ad are on the cover of the February Journal, shown during the filming of the spot.

The ad focuses on the need for incorporating 21st Century technology in public schools and was shown about 400 times on stations in Durango, Grand Junction, Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Denver, primarily during local news programs.

This is CEA’s third TV ad since 2004. The three were created to establish CEA and its members as the state’s leading advocates for quality public education. The ads are made possible by CEA’s public relations campaign. The campaign is funded by a special per-member annual assessment collected with CEA dues. The delegates to CEA’s annual Delegate Assembly consider this assessment each year.
