Registration Deadline June 13
Mark your calendar now for the 2008 CEA Summer Leadership Conference: July 28-31 at Copper Mountain Resort. This year's event, under the theme "Generation CEA: Leaders for the Next Decade,” offers something for everyone with inspiring guest speakers, a wide variety of sessions to meet your personal and professional needs, and plenty of opportunities for socializing and networking. Courses are offered for credit through Adams State or through CDE Contact Hours.
The conference will feature group sessions on Bargaining Behavior I and II, Leadership Academy and Presidents' Training. Block sessions will be offered on topics such as Grievance Advocacy, Membership Best Practices, Communicating with Legislators, and much more. Read about the Training and Workshops and identify ones you want to take here.
When you are ready, download and print a registration form. The registration deadline is June 13. When you mail your registration form, include a check payable to CEA for the full amount of registration. If your local association is coordinating and paying your registration, check with your local president.
Grants are available for attendees this summer -- 18 grants for Local Presidents and Presidents-elect and 40 grants for general participants. Download a grant application to check out the grant opportunities and see if you qualify. The grants are limited – so you should get your application in soon. Make sure you include your registration form, registration fee, and course selections with your grant application.
You can get a Summer Conference Booklet from your local president or UniServ Office if you want a printed copy of the materials on this page.
