New NEA Academy Classes available for Association members

Association members can be assured our Association knows they are looking for quality, convenience, and value when it comes to online professional development and continuing education. The NEA Academy assists members in meeting their career goals by providing peer-reviewed online courses that are self-paced and include instructor-led virtual classrooms, all at a discounted member-only rate.

The list of classes members can take online through the NEA Academy has grown since last spring, now offering Continuing Education Credits, PBS Teacherline courses, our popular "I Can Do It" classroom management training, and much more, including:

  • Teaching in a Mixed Ability Classroom
  • Teaching the ESL Learner
  • Accommodating All Learners
  • Reading Across the Curriculum
One of the newest classes is "What's Your IEQ? A Roadmap to School Indoor Environmental Quality." There is also a section of courses called I CAN Learn, offering online professional development for teachers in three groups: grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and pre-algebra.
