Our membership category for classified employees/support staff is called Education Support Professional (ESP).

Most support staff are eligible to join through one of CEA's 200 Local Associations or a BOCES Unit. If you are actively employed, this is how you will join.

ESP dues are approximately one-half of dues for teachers and college faculty and are based on the number of hours you work in a year. Part-time dues are also available.

You can join at any time during the year. If an Active member joins after September 15, the Local Association, in determining the new member’s dues, must prorate the dues by the number of months and payroll deduction periods remaining in the membership year.

• Print this membership form, complete it and give it to the CEA-NEA Association Representative (AR) in your school. Your AR will help you obtain payroll deduction for dues and assist you in completing the appropriate forms. Your Local Association may use a different form - but this one will get you started.
• You may pay dues through automatic checking account deduction/electronic funds transfer. If you choose to do this, complete both the membership form and this EFT Form.
